Installation & Maintenance Tips
1. Clean all components of the kit and the engine cylinder liner, connecting rod small head before installation, remove oil stains, rust, burrs and impurities; ensure the mating surface is smooth and flat without obvious scratches.
2. Install the piston rings in strict accordance with the marking and installation sequence (compression ring first, then oil control ring), pay attention to the installation direction of the rings (the marked side faces the piston top), and ensure the ring gaps are evenly staggered to avoid gas leakage.
3. Heat the piston evenly to 60-80℃ with hot oil or a special heater before installing the piston pin (avoid open fire heating), and install the piston pin and circlips in place to prevent the pin from loosening during operation.
4. Apply a thin and uniform layer of engine oil on the piston, piston rings and cylinder liner inner wall before assembling the piston into the cylinder, use a piston ring compressor to press the piston rings, and push the piston into the cylinder smoothly to avoid scratching the cylinder liner and piston rings.
5. After installation, check the clearance between the piston and cylinder liner, and the flexibility of the piston pin; start the engine at idle speed for running-in (1-2 hours), and avoid high-speed and high-load operation during the running-in period. Regularly check the engine oil consumption and exhaust status, and replace the engine oil and filter element in time after running-in.
