Installation & Maintenance Tips

1. Clean the valve, valve seat, valve guide and valve spring installation position before installation, remove oil stains, carbon deposits, rust and burrs; use a valve lapping tool to lap the valve seat face and valve seat to ensure perfect sealing if necessary.

2. Install the valve in the correct position (intake/exhaust distinction) and direction, apply a thin and uniform layer of high-temperature lubricating grease on the valve stem, and insert it into the valve guide smoothly to avoid scratching the valve stem and valve guide.

3. Assemble the valve spring, spring seat, lock pin and other accessories in strict accordance with the engine assembly process, ensure the valve spring is installed in place and the lock pin is locked reliably to prevent the valve from falling off during engine operation.

4. Check the valve clearance after assembly and adjust it according to the specified value in the SAA6D107E engine manual (cold machine/hot machine different standards), ensure the clearance is accurate to avoid abnormal valve noise or poor sealing.
